2026 Beyond Borders Overland Get-Together: Good Food, Great Friends, and New Beginnings

The 2026 Beyond Borders Overland (BBO) get-together was a fantastic opportunity to bring our community together for good food, great conversations, and plenty of laughs. It was a day filled with shared adventures, new faces, old friends, and memories that remind us why we started this club in the first place.

One of the biggest announcements of the gathering was that Beyond Borders Overland is now officially a nonprofit organization and is accepting new members! This marks an exciting milestone for BBO as we continue working to grow our community, promote responsible overlanding, support trail stewardship, and help protect access to the places we love to explore.

Of course, no BBO gathering would be complete without plenty of good food. We fired up the smoker and prepared two briskets for everyone to enjoy. Attendees brought dishes to share, creating a great potluck spread that brought everyone together around the table. Karen and Chuck once again treated everyone to their famous wild rice soup, which was a welcome addition to the meal!

We also took time to celebrate one of our founding members, Chris, birthday. Between the food, birthday wishes, stories from the trail, and plenty of good-natured ribbing, there was no shortage of laughter throughout the day.

Just as important as the food and festivities was the opportunity to welcome new faces into the group. We shared stories of past adventures, talked about future trips, and got to know fellow enthusiasts who share our passion for exploring the outdoors. These gatherings are a reminder that overlanding is about more than the vehicles we drive or the destinations we reach. It's about the friendships we build and the experiences we share along the way.

As Beyond Borders Overland continues to grow, we look forward to welcoming new members, planning more adventures, and building a community centered on adventure, stewardship, education, and camaraderie.

A big thank-you to everyone who came out, brought something to share, helped with the food, and made the day special. It's the people who make BBO what it is, and we couldn't ask for a better group to share the journey with.

Want to be part of the adventure? Beyond Borders Overland is welcoming new members! Whether you're an experienced overlander or just getting started, there's a place for you in our community.

Here's to more miles, more campfires, more great meals, and many more memories together!
