Our Mission

Beyond Borders Overland is dedicated to bringing people together through adventure, education, community, and responsible outdoor recreation. We welcome overlanders of all experience levels, creating opportunities to explore new destinations, build friendships, develop skills, and share unforgettable experiences.

Through responsible land use, trail advocacy, and partnerships with organizations and public agencies, we are committed to protecting the places we explore and preserving access for future generations.

Our Four Pillars

COMMUNITY

Overlanding is better together.

Beyond Borders Overland is building a community where experienced travelers can share their knowledge and newcomers can learn without feeling intimidated.

We believe everyone has something to contribute.

Through organized trips, club events, fellowship, mentorship, and shared experiences, we are creating a community that welcomes people from all backgrounds and experience levels.

Meet people. Share experiences. Build friendships.

STEWARDSHIP

We don't just use the trails. We want to help protect them.

We believe in:

Respecting public and private lands

Following posted rules and regulations

Respecting other trail users

Protecting the environment

Supporting responsible trail access

Leaving every place better than we found it

Our long-term goal is to become actively involved in trail construction, maintenance, cleanup, restoration, and preservation. Enjoy the trails today. Help protect them for tomorrow.

ADVENTURE

Adventure is where it all begins.

We explore trails, backroads, public lands, and destinations throughout Minnesota and beyond. From weekend trips to multi-day expeditions, our goal is to experience places that encourage exploration and create memories that last a lifetime.

Explore. Discover. Experience.

EDUCATION

A better-educated overlander is a better steward.

We want to help people become more confident, capable, and responsible while exploring the outdoors.

Our educational goals include opportunities involving:

Overlanding fundamentals

Vehicle preparation

Recovery and safety

Navigation

Camping and outdoor skills

Trail etiquette

Responsible land use

Tread Lightly principles

Understanding trail regulations

Trail advocacy

Leadership and volunteer opportunities

Whether you're brand new to overlanding or have years of experience, there is always something new to learn.
